Jerry confirmed we should proceed with repairs 3/11/02

ATTENTION!!!!

Jerry...John checked the exhaust valve outside diameter margin clearance to one of our 4.250" bore blocks this afternoon....your exhaust valves touch the bore at .600 lift without a head gasket......you DO NOT have clearance with 1.750" exhaust valves!!! This must be corrected or you will have catastrophic damage after little running time....I have been down this road...it will not live...the exhaust valve most likely need to be down to about 1.670" at the big lift cam you have.... In order to do this the seats will need to be replaced with smaller ID ones in order to install smaller exhaust valves. I'm not sure the valves you have will take being turned this much smaller.....You need to call on Monday 3/11/02...
