The 4+1 Street gives you a choice of first gear ratios (3.27, 4.06, or 4.41), plus 2.13 second, 1.57 third, 1.23 fourth, and 1.1 fifth gear ratios. That means you can run an "economy" rear-end gear to save gas and have the performance of a lower (numerically higher) gear ratio.
In fact, Richmond recommends using a rear-end gear between 2.73 and 3.36. See Calculations Below!!!
The 4+1 Street is drilled for use with most popular four-speed bellhousing's.
It's the same length as most four speeds, too, making installation easier.
Note: To specify first gear ratio, please use one of the following letters after the part number: A---3.27,
B---4.06, C---4.41
