As the promoter for this new group of great race fans and drivers, I hope to provide a place for you to get the latest updated schedules and information about our association. With the financial help of our members, we were able to incorporate in Nebraska in January 1999. We are a not-for-profit Nebraska Corporation to promote racing.   Currently the our driver registrations are with IMCA Late Model class.   We are also starting our fourth season in 2002.

The Corporation promotes a Traveling Race Schedule in Central Nebraska and surrounding states. Our first  and second year series title sponsor is Friesen Chevrolet in Sutton Nebraska. Our first and second year Travelling IMCA Late Model Chase-For-Cash sponsor is Northern Plains Supply in Basset Nebraska and for our second season Gessford machine, Inc. in Hastings, Nebraska  shared in the Chase Sponsorship, each one sponsoring 1/2 of every race and paying $205.00 per Chase Race. Also Snap-On Tools came on board in 2000 to sponsor the Half Way money for all the IMCA Late Model races @ $40.00 per race leader at mid race. Snap-On Tools was the Chase Sponsor for 2001. The Windshield Doctor of Norfolk Nebraksa is the 2002 Chase sponsor with the payout   @100$ (50/25/10/5/5/5) per trophy race! Thanks to Smith Racing!

Along with these great sponsors, we have also been able to obtain the help of scores of other business and individual entities.

To date, we have received over $20,000 in sponsor support  (1999) and commitments and we are still counting the new inquiries about supporting a new way to race in our area. The Sponsor Support in 2000 and 2001 is over $30,000. We believe that the Late Model Racing is increasingly difficult to support by our local tracks on a weekly basis. The idea of a travelling series for this more expensive class has caught on in our area. We had five tracks involved as of  October 1999  for the 2000 season and it has grown to seven tracks as of 4/1/00. Our 2001 Season has added two new tracks "Belleville High Banks" and "Beatrice Speedway". I believe the tracks realize that a special race (perhaps once or twice a month) is a better way to present this class of racing at their tracks.  Now we have Norton Kansas and Winner SD and others on the way for 2002.

Our group's commitment to handle all IMCA costs and paper work including driver IRS 1099's for the race track is a big plus!  Our sponsors have donated enough points money to allow the  Late Model class to race for a very reasonable cost to the track, a cost that was initally established by the tracks, not the Association.  The individual promoters from our sponsor tracks decided what they could pay and this was accepted by the Late Model Drivers as fair and in the interest of promoting racing. Of course the association hopes these figures will grow as our tracks relize how hard we work to put on a great show and are groing in 2002 with the cooperation of our great track promoters!

I have been a race fan for many years and was honored to be asked to take the position of promoter for the Association during this first, second and believe it or not the third year of racing and the fourth...can you believe they put up with me???. The energy and enthusiasm I have seen to date is awesome. It's not difficult to get involved in something that is this much fun. We will try to keep the CNCTA Schedule up-to-date on this page of Gessford Racing and Gessford.Com. but soon you will see what Ryan has been building for the series...
